eyebrow vestibule
This is one of two "eyebrow" vestibules that I created for a North Face Oval Intention. Rain and snow melt would collect around the snow tunnel doors, getting into the tent. These stake out mini vestibules, that divert precipitation around the snow doors. They are stabilized with flexible plastic tubing good to -40 that is removable for packing. Price: $75 each

panel zipper in Osprey pack Top loading packs are great, except when you need to get to something in the bottom of the pack. This is an Osprey top loading pack that I added a large panel zipper with storm flaps to. The two-way zipper goes up the side panels, and around the front/top of the pack. $75

Having clothing that functions exactly the way you want it is essential. Sometimes you find the *almost* perfect piece
of technical clothing, that with a little modification will do the job perfectly. Here are a series of modifications I did to a very nice,
simple Gore-tex type jacket and pants set for a climber on his way to Rainier.

I added wear patches around the neck and shoulder, and on the outside of the elbow, with a ticket ring. ($11.50- $30.00)

Whatever ideas you come up with, I try to make them real, even simple ones:

oar sleeve for Parawing Les envisioned some sleeves to simplify rigging a Parawing tarp with oars.
