Pricing for Repairs
About my work: I take pride in my work, and I take
the time to "do things right". I am a nationally recognized specialist.
I have extensive experience specifically with outerwear fabrics
and outdoor gear. You can trust that I will do the job right for
you. For example, when replacing a zipper, I don't cut the teeth
off the old one and sew a new one over the leftover tape. I open
the seam, remove the old zipper, then replace it with a new one,
properly. Or, if patching a shell jacket, I do not sew through
all the layers of the coat and call it good - I open the coat,
patch the outer layer, seal the repair, and close the coat at
the seam. I use matching or complementary fabrics whenever possible.
I use appropriate threads and bartacks. With modifications, and
alterations, my goal is for the modification to look like an integral
part of the item, not an afterthought. Custom work and tent projects
are very labor intensive, but the end result is very worthwhile.

| ALL CLOTHING
MUST BE CLEAN AS IN WASHED AND UNWORN.
ALL GEAR MUST BE REASONABLY CLEAN: no grit,
sand, dirt, old socks, dustbunnies, granola bar wrappers,
pine needles. I will charge you for machine servicing
if your gear pours dirt, sand or grit on my sewing machines.
Exceptions are items that are so damaged
that washing will damage them further, but you must discuss
it with me.
No RUSH orders
Shipping Charges: $10-12 most items, $15-20
for large packs and tents. Includes replacement value
insurance
